API Product Owner

About the Role
In this key position as an API Product Manager, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing maintenance of our leading-edge API products. Your expertise will be crucial in driving product development and fostering strong relationships with internal teams.
You will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare the product for launch and provide continuous support for APIs. Furthermore, you will coordinate and facilitate customer-centric working groups, offering essential guidance throughout their development process, from testing to deployment.
Your daily tasks will include managing pilot activities, assisting existing and potential customers, and developing effective communication strategies to promote awareness and usage of our APIs.
You will also collaborate with relevant teams to create customer documentation such as guides, informational sheets, frequently asked questions, and testing plans. This will ensure seamless onboarding and support for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with team members across the organization to ensure product launch readiness.
- Plan and run working groups with customers to support them through their journey of development, to pilot and to live.
- Manage pilot activities and provide support to existing and prospective customers.
- Create and maintain customer feedback loops to build a product roadmap for the future.
- Collaborate with relevant team members to develop customer documentation, including materials for onboarding, factsheets, frequently asked questions, and testing plans.
- Collaborate with internal risk partners to ensure the products are within Swift's risk appetite.
What Makes You Successful?
We are seeking professionals with the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in product management, preferably in FinTech.
- Strong technical skills and understanding of API technologies, including API contracts, OAS standards, and industry practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills covering technical and business topics.
- Excellent ability to effectively solve problems.
- Experience in developing customer-facing sales and marketing materials and technical documentation.
- Experienced in technology and can roll-up their sleeves as needed.
- Knowledge of ISO20022 message standards and financial domain (payments/trade/securities/other) is a plus.
Salary: The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
