Electrical and Mechanical Engineer

About the Role: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining auxiliary services plant, equipment, and distribution systems, carrying out diagnostic procedures and fault rectification to electrical control panels and systems, responding to callouts, and ensuring continuity of engineering support to the factory. You will also apply a professional work ethic and maintain a safe working environment. You will assist in monitoring and control of spares stock control system and carry out production operations while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to timely and effective maintenance of all plant and equipment.
- Maintain auxiliary services plant, equipment, and distribution systems.
- Carry out diagnostic procedures and fault rectification to electrical control panels and systems.
- Respond to callouts and ensure continuity of engineering support to the factory.
- Apply a professional work ethic and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in monitoring and control of spares stock control system.
- Carry out production operations and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements: A relevant NVQ Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical engineering qualification and minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are essential. Additionally, you will need mechanical and electrical knowledge, the ability to read mechanical and wiring drawings and diagrams, and knowledge and practical experience with PLC controlled applications.
Estimated Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum depending on experience.
