About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Technician to join our team at Howden. As a key member of our Operating Entity, you will provide critical technical and administrative support to our broking teams within niche Business Units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage documentation with precision and in a timely manner.
  • Perform data entry and compliance tasks, ensuring adherence to company and group policies.
  • Lead assigned projects and supply support to other team projects as needed, ensuring successful completion.
  • Perform technical duties, including data entry, credit control, and follow-up on subjectivities, with precision.
  • Stay informed of regulatory and legal changes that impact the role, ensuring compliance.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to urgent issues, providing effective solutions.
  • Interpret and implement instructions and issues in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Business Units, encouraging teamwork.
  • Handle client renewals and mid-term adjustments as required, delivering high-quality service.
  • Remain up-to-date with industry, legal, and regulatory developments to ensure high standards of practice and output.
Requirements
  • Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Capable of undertaking and demonstrating competence in technical training as required by industry regulations.
  • Prior experience in insurance or a customer-facing environment is preferred.
  • GCSE's (or equivalent) including English and Maths essential.
