Job Title: Director of Tax

At Mission 4 Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Tax to join our client's team. As a leading provider of accounting services and business advice, our client has a proud history spanning over 100 years and a strong reputation for delivering exceptional service and expertise to their clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Personal Tax Compliance & Advisory Services: Provide comprehensive personal tax compliance and advisory services, effectively managing a diverse portfolio of individual clients.
  2. Corporation Tax Service: Assist Accountants with drafting corporation tax return and provide advice regarding capital allowances, R&D claims and other matters.
  3. Client Planning & Advisory: Identify and advise on strategic planning opportunities for clients, particularly during tax return reviews and other relevant communications.
  4. Work-In-Progress (WIP) Management: Manage WIP effectively, including setting and meeting client expectations, ensuring recoverability, proposing fees, invoicing, and timely cash collection.
  5. Risk Management: Demonstrate strong risk management skills, particularly in client acceptance and engagement processes.
Requirements:
  1. Fully qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) is essential
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Knowledge of tax law and regulations.
  4. Experience with CCH software package would be an advantage
  5. Previous experience in a client-facing role is desirable
