Job SummaryThis Fixed Term Contract role is designed to provide support to the reference standards team within the Analytical Services section of the Quality Department laboratories.
The successful candidate will be responsible for synthesizing, purifying, and isolating critical process and degradation impurities, as well as documenting experimental work and proceduralizing it with a focus on simplified workflows and maximized yields.
Key Responsibilities- Synthesis and Purification: Deliver meaningful quantities of critical impurities, degradation products, and API reference standards in high quality to support the function of the quality analytical laboratory teams.
- Data Generation and Presentation: Record, evaluate, and present data generated during laboratory work both internally and by third parties, applying scientific knowledge, demonstrating a practical approach, and providing appropriate and innovative solutions.
- Quality Management System: Work with Mundipharma Quality Management System processes such as Change Controls, Deviations, CAPAs, and Quality Risk management procedures as required.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Analytical Services and reference standards teams to ensure that all compounds are determined to be of high quality and suitable for their intended purposes.
Competitive salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications- Qualifications: Degree level or higher specializing in chemistry and/or organic synthesis.
- Experience: Proven experience in chemical synthesis post-qualification.
- Track Record: Proven track record in organic chemistry within a pharmaceutical or academic setting.
