Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced paediatric nurse to join our Specialist Care Team at The Ark, our state-of-the-art children's hospice building in Barnet. As a Children's Hospice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children who are seriously ill, as well as their families.
Main Responsibilities- Care for children who are staying with us at The Ark and those visiting us for day care
- Support children in their family homes and in community settings
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and support to children and their families
- Develop and maintain relationships with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support
We are looking for an experienced paediatric nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to children and their families. You will have excellent clinical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. You will also have a strong commitment to providing person-centred care and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
Requirements- Registered Sick Children Nurse or Registered Nurse Child Branch
- Relevant post-qualification experience at staff nurse band 5 level
- Teaching qualification (e.g. Mentorship SSSA or equivalent) or willingness to undertake
- Experience in supporting students on placement as a practice supervisor or practice assessor
