Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced 7.5T HGV driver to join our team at Gi Group. As a 7.5T HGV driver, you will be responsible for delivering fresh produce to restaurants and cafes across the country.

The Role:

As a 7.5T HGV driver, you will be undertaking multi-drop deliveries, which will require you to be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads. You will also be responsible for using handheld PDA machines to confirm deliveries and ensure that all goods are delivered safely and efficiently.

Shift Pattern:

  • The shift pattern is a rolling 6-week pattern, with 5 days, 6 days, 5 days, 6 days, 4 days, and 4 days, followed by a repeat cycle.
  • Every Sunday will be a day off, but you will only have one Saturday off every 6 weeks.
  • Early starts are required, with shifts starting from 04:00 am onwards.
  • The average shift length is 9 hours.

Requirements:

  • You must hold a clean full UK driving license with LGV C1 entitlement.
  • You must hold a valid Tachograph and CPC Card.
  • You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience for insurance purposes.
  • You must be over 25 years old for insurance purposes.
  • You must be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • You must be confident and competent using a PDA machine.
  • You must have excellent customer service and communication skills, and an attention to detail is essential.
