Job Description

A rare opportunity has emerged for a Procurement Manager to join a world-class and multi-award-winning procurement function within the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, taking ownership of a diverse range of agricultural commodities related spend.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create category and sourcing strategies to drive commercial success and value.
  • Manage existing supplier relationships across agricultural commodities related spend.
  • Select, award, and onboard new suppliers to deliver best value for the company.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders/suppliers to collaborate and achieve cost savings on agricultural commodities related spend.
  • Evaluate and mitigate commodity risk, monitor market trends, and devise strategies with the supply base to reduce issues moving forward.
  • Ensure compliance with sustainable sourcing practices and contract framework requirements.
Requirements:
  • Strong commercial acumen and direct procurement experience in Food & Beverages/Agricultural Commodities.
  • Demonstrable experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders/suppliers.
  • Ability to achieve cost savings against volatile/changing market conditions (commodities).
  • Procurement experience at a strategic level, with demonstrable experience of running tenders.
  • Proactive attitude, strong communicator, and ability to mentor.
Benefits

The role offers a competitive package of £60,000 - £75,000 + 20% Bonus, along with flexible hybrid working arrangements. The offices are based in London, providing a dynamic and collaborative working environment.
