We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our team at a renowned restaurant in Keswick. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive team culture
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and recipes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef Assistant in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior staff
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
