Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Avoca Arthur St, Belfast location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality, and presentation in the kitchen.
  • Assist with menu planning and costings to ensure budgeted gross profit margins are achieved.
  • Oversee food orders and ensure only approved suppliers are used.
  • Lead the performance of the team to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to ensure high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Develop and implement innovative food presentation and menu ideas.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate records.
  • Review and update the kitchen hazard list with the Head Chef.
  • Maintain excellent communication and working relationships with staff, clients, and customers.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant culinary qualification and 1-2 years' experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Experience in industrial catering and H.A.C.C.P. documentation.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage food costings and budgets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professional demeanor.
