About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team in supporting Gypsy Roma Traveller families. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of these families, helping them access essential services and resources.

Job Description
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, community groups, and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of support services to Gypsy Roma Traveller families.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver outreach programs, addressing specific needs and concerns of these families.
  • Provide guidance and support to families on accessing health, education, and social care services.
  • Work closely with partner agencies to identify and address barriers to accessing services.
  • Conduct home visits, group sessions, and one-to-one consultations to assess family needs and provide tailored support.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with vulnerable communities, particularly Gypsy Roma Traveller families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build trust with families and partners.
  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of current legislation and policies affecting Gypsy Roma Traveller families.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
