About the Role

We are seeking an experienced A Level tutor to join our team as a Group Tutor Contractor. As a Group Tutor Contractor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality small group tuition to our students, supporting them to reach their full academic potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality tuition to small groups of students, adhering to our Tuition Quality Framework
  • Plan and deliver stimulating lessons, responding to the needs of your students
  • Provide regular feedback on student progress and complete weekly attendance forms
  • Supply monthly invoices for your services
  • Participate in our observation and feedback process to ensure continuous improvement
Requirements
  • UK-based with the right to work in the UK
  • Passionate about The Access Project's mission to support students from under-resourced backgrounds
  • A level teaching and/or extensive tutoring experience (minimum of two years) in a group setting
  • Positive, engaging, and flexible teaching style
  • Familiarity with and strong knowledge of relevant exam boards and specifications
  • Achieved a minimum of Grade B at GCSE in Maths, English, and Science
  • Evidence of ability to tutor one of the following subjects to A Level standard: Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Further Maths, Geography, Maths, Physics, Politics, and Psychology
  • Ability to commit to weekly hour-long tutorials at the same time each week over the academic year
