About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team at Ian Williams Ltd. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing painting and associated repair/refurbishment contracts, values ranging from £2,000 to £1.5 million, for a variety of key clients within Kent, South London and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage painting and associated repair/refurbishment contracts, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful contract delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Monitor and control contract costs, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in Contract Management, ideally within the painting/decorating sector.
  • Proven track record of managing direct labour, including development and performance management of a team.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading the operational success of a contract, including awareness of budget, managing client relationships and planning programmes of work.
  • A trade background (all trades considered to NVQ level 2 or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
  • A sound working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
  • The ability to build successful working relationships with customers and employees.
