Senior Researcher

At ENGINEERINGUK, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Researcher to join our team. As a key member of our research department, you will be responsible for leading a team of researchers and providing support to the editorial team in the development of storylines and scripts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the research department and manage a team of researchers to ensure the delivery of high-quality research materials.
- Set deadlines and deliver research materials in-line with production schedules.
- Communicate with the editorial team to identify and address any story or script changes that need to be made.
- Research and analyze upcoming storylines to ensure accuracy and continuity.
- Assess scripts to ensure the accuracy of factually based dialogue.
- Establish and maintain relationships with experts and charities in specific fields.
- Ensure close cooperation and communication with all departments.
- Attend planning and commissioning meetings as necessary.
- Exercise financial and purchasing authority in accordance with company policies.
- Establish and maintain office and administration systems.
- Have a broadly based knowledge and familiarity with conventional and specialized sources of information and research techniques.
- Have knowledge and passion for television drama productions.
Package Description:
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a Band B salary. The role is based at BBC Elstree and may involve up to 55 hours per week. We offer a competitive package that includes a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, life insurance, and access to training and development opportunities.
