About the Role

Parexel is a leading biopharmaceutical services company that improves the world's health by providing innovative solutions. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our AI Labs team, which builds and deploys AI-driven solutions to improve workflows across the life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software applications using Python, JavaScript/Typescript, and React.
  • Collaborate with engineers to write, test, and release front and back-end code according to the product roadmap.
  • Implement well-scoped features and break them down into sub-tasks for yourself and other engineers.
  • Report project status and raise blocking issues with management.
  • Work with the Engineering Manager and Senior Engineers to create the engineering team's roadmap.
Requirements
  • Strong CS fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with API development in Flask (Python) or Express/similar (Nodejs).
  • Experience with frontend development in Nextjs or similar.
  • Broad skillset with database technologies, including Postgres and DynamoDB.
  • Ability to monitor database/application uptime and performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and value the importance of teamwork.
Desirable Skills
  • Strong experience as a Full Stack Engineer or Developer.
  • Experience working in applications with RESTful JSON API endpoints.
  • Experience with AWS and Docker.
  • Experience with the following tools: JIRA, Confluence, Docker, Git, GitHub, Sumologic, AWS serverless resources (Lambda, DynamoDB, etc).
  • Life Science industry experience in similar roles.
