Job Title: Geo Environmental Project Manager

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Geo Environmental Project Manager to join their team in Northwich. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering geo-environmental and geotechnical projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver geo-environmental and geotechnical projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Supervise ground investigations, manage subcontractors, and log and sample soil and rock to BS5930.
  • Schedule chemical and geotechnical laboratory testing, and produce drawings in CAD.
  • Write desk-based Phase I geo-environmental assessment reports and Coal Mining Risk Assessments (CMRAs).
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, and sub-contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Comply with internal policies, procedures, and ISO standards.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of soil mechanics, determining characteristic values, and calculation of foundation bearing capacities.
  • Positively contribute to the office culture, with excellent conduct and discipline.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate Degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant subject (geology, environmental science, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, physical geography, etc).
  • Good IT skills and competent with MS Office.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Holebase desirable.
  • Good problem-solving/contingency planning skills with ability to adapt and find quick, innovative, and practical solutions.
  • A strong work ethic, able to work effectively either alone or as part of a small team.
  • Full UK driving license (manual transmission).
