Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for marking student responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme. This will involve working independently and as part of a team to ensure that all assessments are marked to a high standard.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals in accounting and finance to develop their skills and knowledge while contributing to the development of our T Level qualifications.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year's teaching and assessment experience or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Business at Level 3;
  • A degree or equivalent work-based qualification such as a Level 5/6/7 NVQ in Accounting and/or Finance/Business or membership of a relevant professional body;
  • Fully conversant with the requirements of the T Level Accountancy specification and with the standards and regulations involved in the accounting and finance industries.

Desirable Qualifications

  • A qualified teacher or hold an equivalent teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, C&G 7404, PTTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS or an Assessor/Verifier award;
  • Recent occupational experience in Corporate or Commercial Finance, Financial Accounting, Forensic Accounting, Management Accounting, Tax Accounting or Internal Audit.

Competencies Required

  • The ability to work well under pressure;
  • The ability to meet deadlines;
  • A high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme;
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication, written, verbal, IT and interpersonal skills.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
