CDM Principal Designer Position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join our team at Building Design Partnership. The successful candidate will have a strong background in design and construction, with a thorough understanding of the CDM 2015 Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide CDM PD support and advice to design teams and clients during the design and pre-construction stages of projects.
  • Lead the pre-construction phase, drive risk reduction, communication, cooperation, and coordinate the transition from design to construction.
  • Compile and review hazard and risk registers, design risk management, and PCI Info packs.
  • Review design risk management outputs from internal and external design teams to ensure compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations.
  • Develop and deliver CDM training programs, workshops, and CPD events for designers.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction qualification and experience.
  • Membership of IOSH and APS.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
