Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

RGB Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction main contractor in Devon. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for commercial administration, consultant administration, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Main Contract Administration: Identify and notify the Commercial Lead of any derogations, provide accurate and timely updates on package summary sheets, and produce cash and turnover forecasts per package.
  • Commercial and Contractual Expertise: Support the project team with commercial and contractual expertise, assist the procurement team in producing package procurement documents, and assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
  • Risk Management: Implement policies for risk management, prepare Subcontract Final Accounts for review and sign-off, and prepare and present monthly Cost Reports.
  • Valuation and Certification: Value works executed by Sub-Contractors and certify interim and final payments.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior commercial role within the construction industry.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement, and change management processes, in-depth knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and valuation processes, and proficiency in using Excel and project management tools.
