About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Asset Manager to join our team at UKOS BayWa r.e. Operation Services Limited. As a key member of our Wind Asset Management team, you will be responsible for the overall ownership and management of several operational wind farms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with site owners, ensuring prompt and effective communication and issue resolution.
  2. Contract Management: Manage all contracts and agreements associated with the sites, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  3. Operations Management: Oversee the planning and execution of works to maximize production, while ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
  4. Technical Analysis: Conduct detailed technical analysis to identify trends and factors impacting production and asset life.
  5. Contractor Management: Evaluate and manage contractor performance, ensuring all obligations are met and value is delivered to customers.
  6. Information Management: Ensure accurate and complete historical data and documentation are maintained for all sites.
  7. Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on site performance and contractual compliance to customers.
  8. Procurement: Lead or support the procurement process for appointing contractors for specific works and new O&M arrangements.
  9. Technical Advisory: Provide technical guidance and support for the integration of new sites, due diligence, and onboarding of new sites from successful tenders.
Requirements
  1. Education: Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, or a relevant discipline.
  2. Experience: Proven experience in managing the technical operations of onshore wind farms or similar technologies.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of wind turbine technology, wind farm operations, SCADA systems, and UK HSE legislation.
  4. Contract Management: Proven track record in managing contracts, with the ability to read, understand, and enforce contracts effectively.
  5. Analysis: Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to manipulate and assess data to identify patterns and trends.
  6. Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate at all levels.
  7. Personality: Naturally well-prepared and organized, with the ability to deal with competing priorities, manage a diverse workload, and meet targets and deadlines.
  8. IT Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office packages, with excellent Excel skills.
  9. Drivers Licence: Valid driver's license required due to the nature of the role.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Valid IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
  2. Specialist experience in the wind industry in mechanical or electrical engineering or environmental management.
  3. Ability to program for data analysis.
