This role focuses on providing academic support to low-ability learners, including those with additional learning needs. You will use sports and physical activity as tools to build rapport, develop social skills, and encourage positive behavior.

As an Academic Mentor, you will assist students in managing emotions constructively, supporting them in developing skills for learning and self-regulation. Your collaborative approach will help implement individualized learning plans with teachers and other school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support to students with additional learning needs
  • Use sports and physical activity to promote positive behavior and social skills
  • Assist students in managing emotions and developing self-regulation skills
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized learning plans

Requirements:

  • Strong background or interest in sports, coaching, physical education, or similar fields
  • Experience working with young people, ideally those facing learning or behavioral challenges
  • Ability to build trust and positively influence students
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive impact

Salary: £85.04 per day

Contract Type: Long-Term Opportunity
