Lead Oncology Nurse
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Oncology Nurse to join our team at London Bridge Hospital. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our ward staff, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of nursing policies, procedures, and education programs, promoting evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
- Support and mentor junior staff members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
Requirements:
- NMC Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience in Oncology or Haematology.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in mentoring and teaching junior staff.
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience in the administration of SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
