About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Perfusionist to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our perfusion team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality perfusion services to patients undergoing adult cardiac surgery.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in perfusion science and experience in performing a range of adult clinical perfusion techniques and procedures. You will be required to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in the 24/7 on-call perfusion service at Hammersmith Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital.
  • Perform a broad range of routine adult clinical perfusion techniques and procedures.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of standards and quality in perfusion services.
  • Contribute to the education and training of trainee perfusionists and other staff groups.
Requirements
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Perfusion Science or equivalent.
  • Basic Accreditation with the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland.
  • Active Registration with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Advanced Accreditation with the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland.
  • MSc in Perfusion Science.
  • Experience with minimally invasive valve surgery.
  • Competent in point-of-care testing including TEG.
