A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director to join a leading construction consultancy based in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delay analysis and forensic planning, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of delay analysts, contributing to expert report writing, and delivering high-quality delay and forensic planning services to clients. They will also be expected to network and win work, develop relationships with industry contacts, and critically analyze project performance to identify root causes of distress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of delay analysts on complex projects
  • Contribute to expert report writing and develop own expert reports
  • Deliver high-quality delay and forensic planning services to clients
  • Network and win work, develop relationships with industry contacts
  • Critically analyze project performance to identify root causes of distress

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in delay, planning, and related construction and engineering industry experience
  • Significant exposure to managing programs, using planning software, and delay analysis techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of common planning software, such as Primavera and Asta PowerProject
  • Experience managing a team of delay analysts on concurrent cases
  • Experience contributing to expert report writing and developing own expert reports

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

  • Degree-level education in a construction-related field or similar equivalent qualification
