Maintenance Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their critical engineering maintenance team in Northampton. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets through effective maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, to ensure the optimal performance of automation equipment.
- Identify the root cause of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions to meet operational processing requirements.
- Monitor equipment performance and improve automation outputs in collaboration with operational stakeholders.
- Provide effective and efficient support to the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Team Leads.
- Complete end of shift reports, fault logging and data entry.
Requirements:
- Minimum ONC Electrical Engineering or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and experience of maintaining automation equipment, ideally Programme Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Flexible approach and ability to communicate complex issues effectively.
Working Hours:
- 12 hour shifts, including two weeks earlies (7:00am - 7:00pm) and two weeks nights (7:00pm - 7:00am), with rest days.
- Shift rotation system with some degree of voluntary flexibility to meet operational needs.
Benefits:
- £51,051 per annum, night shift allowance of £2,500 per annum.
- Weekend supplement for Saturday (£51 per attendance) and Sunday (£102 per attendance) shift attendance.
- Defined contribution pension scheme, 22.5 days (15 shifts) annual leave, plus bank holidays.

- Eligibility for a welcome bonus (TBC).
