Plant Operations Manager

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading UK renewable energy provider to recruit a skilled Plant Manager for their North London site.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the site operates at optimal levels, maintaining high health and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager to join a passionate team dedicated to renewable energy and waste processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise process plant operations to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Manage feedstock processing and planning to meet site requirements
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on plant efficiency and trends, analysing data to inform decision-making
  • Develop solutions to technical variances and site maintenance issues
  • Coordinate with external contractors and manage relationships with external bodies, such as the Environmental Agency
  • Lead and manage on-site colleagues, including Operators and Engineers
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering qualification, such as chemical or mechanical engineering
  • WAMITAB AD qualification or equivalent experience
  • Mobile Plant licence or time-served experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent computer literacy and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
