Job Title: Management Accountant

Culina Group is a leading logistics and supply chain company seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Appleton Thorn site.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Management Accountant to assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including posting journals, and to investigate and explain variances in the Management Accounts. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring revenue maximization, and assisting with group reporting packs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting for Fixed Asset and Leasing functions of the company
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including posting journals
  • Investigation and explanation of variances in the Management Accounts
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensuring revenue maximization by highlighting and investigating assets that are not being hired
  • Assisting with group reporting packs and ensuring they are completed and submitted on time
  • Assisting with the external audits of the company
  • Developing and mentoring the Finance team members
  • Ad hoc reporting when required by senior management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills, experiences, and qualifications:

  • Fully or part-qualified Accountant
  • Experience in both the production of management accounts and implementation of processes
  • Strong knowledge of MS packages, including advanced Excel and Word
