Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operational Resilience Strategist to join our team at Barclay Simpson. As a key member of our Governance and Change department, you will play a crucial role in strengthening operational resilience across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Documentation and Compliance: Ensure that operational resilience documentation aligns with governance and regulatory standards (FCA/PRA, DORA) by implementing effective processes and procedures.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive a coordinated approach to reporting and resilience management, fostering strong relationships and open communication channels.
  3. Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report on deliverables, risks, and issues; facilitate workshops to gather technical and non-technical input, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of project progress.
  4. Data Management: Support data mapping to connect new and established sources to reporting systems, ensuring high-quality data is maintained.
  5. Issue Resolution: Work with stakeholders to identify, track, and resolve resilience gaps; lead discussions to address emerging issues, providing expert guidance and support.
  6. Governance and Reporting: Create PowerPoint presentations for committees, take meeting minutes, and support the preparation of self-assessment reports, showcasing your excellent communication and presentation skills.

Requirements:

  • A background in governance, ideally within the UK financial sector, with a solid understanding of regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow (Operational Resilience module) and JIRA (preferred), with experience in utilizing these platforms to enhance operational resilience.
  • A proven track record in operational resilience, business continuity, and risk management, with a strong understanding of UK regulatory standards and EU regulations.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for career growth and professional development.
