Our client, a leading building design consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced Technical Director Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modeller to join their team on a permanent basis. With a strong focus on innovation and growth, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead the hydraulic modelling for the business and build a team of experts.

This is a newly created position that will give you the chance to make a significant impact on the company's success. As a Technical Director Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modeller, you will be responsible for producing and running 1D/2D hydraulic models, Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Alleviation Schemes, and Drainage Strategies on a wide range of projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with experience in delivering Flood Alleviation schemes, Flood Risk Assessments, and Drainage Strategies. They will also have deep knowledge of the regulatory system to ensure that designs and projects comply with relevant laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Membership with CIWEM or working towards membership of this professional body.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools, such as Autocad, ArcGIS, and Hydraulic Modelling software.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Strong leadership and communicative skills with the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with colleagues and clients.
