Senior Engineer (Rock Engineering)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineer to join our Rock Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and delivery of geotechnical calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports in line with project programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of rock engineering and geological projects, ensuring timely and quality results
  • Assess and check a wide range of projects, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design solution
  • Ensure quality, safety, and environmental standards are met through the use of our Integrated Management System
  • Participate in the resolution of technical issues and contribute to the development of new solutions

Requirements

  • Chartered engineering geologist or geotechnical engineer (CGeol, CEng or equivalent)
  • Experience in a design environment working on complex rock engineering and engineering geological projects in the UK or internationally
  • Working knowledge of geotechnical software and rock engineering software (e.g. Rocscience software packages)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both orally and in writing
  • Full UK driving licence
