Royle Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Materials Management Specialist to join their team in the UK. This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.

About the Role

We are looking for someone with stores or material control experience who has a background in power generation, automotive parts, armed forces, or similar. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling the receiving and issuing of goods, conducting physical stock checks, ensuring security of all stores and monitoring of access, and daily processing of Manual Purchase Requisitions (MRP).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receiving and Issuing Goods: Ensure accurate and efficient receipt and issue of goods, including verification of quantities and condition.
  2. Physical Stock Checks: Conduct regular physical stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  3. Store Security and Access: Monitor and control access to all stores, ensuring the security and integrity of stored materials.
  4. Maintenance and Replenishment: Process Manual Purchase Requisitions (MRPs) and manage call-off orders to ensure timely replenishment of stocks.
  5. Refurbishment and Coding: Coordinate external refurbishment of spares and code items correctly to maintain accurate inventory records.
  6. Data Quality and Records: Maintain data quality and update records accurately to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  7. Duplication and Shelf-Life Management: Identify and resolve duplication of stock, and implement shelf-life management strategies to minimize waste.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Stores or material control experience in power generation, automotive parts, armed forces, or similar industries.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable Skills: Competence in the use of SAP R/3 and/or S/4 - Materials Management.
