Job Title: Process Optimization Manager

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Process Optimization Manager to join our team.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to optimize and improve the efficiency of our manufacturing processes.
  • You will lead site and corporate important metric measures, ensuring actions are completed on target.
  • You will offer expertise and steer new product introductions on automation engineering topics to define activity required to deliver the automation strategy of the project.
  • You will provide technical support on automation issues to the engineering and operations teams to resolve unplanned maintenance issues.
  • You will lead continuous improvement automation projects to improve reliability of site equipment.
  • You will carry out crucial periodic software reviews to guarantee compliance with all regularity bodies.
  • You will act as client liaison when required and work closely with respective counterparts as client site to align processes across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • You will offer mentorship and expertise to the engineering maintenance team in problem solving issues associated with site wide utilities, including purified water, pure steam, and calibrated equipment.
  • You will ensure cGMP is applied in the work area and aligns with cGMP through following site SOP's.
  • You will offer mentorship and support to a small team of engineers, to ensure compliance with site wide preventative maintenance schedules.

EH&S:

  • You will understand emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work.
  • You will ensure compliance with environment, health and safety rules, signage and instructions at all times.
  • You will ensure prompt reporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules.

Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 per annum

Location: Flexible, Remote or On-Site

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree qualified and/or with advanced experience in PLC controlled production facilities.
  • Experience in Allen Bradley PLC programming from first principles as well as advanced fault finding in both local control environments and network systems.
  • Strong project management background within production engineering, process engineering within a regulated environment.
  • Strong problem solving capabilities with urgency to resolve.
  • Client facing experience preferred.
