What You'll Be Doing

You will lead an effective HR Shared Services department, operating as a centre of excellence, delivering efficient transactional and advisory support to the business. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a HR Shared Services centre, utilizing enabling technology and associated end-to-end processes, to continuously develop and deliver in line with business strategy and requirements.
  • Coaching, supporting, mentoring, and building HR Shared Services team capability to ensure they are engaged and achieving their potential.
  • Proactively partnering with the business to understand their needs and activities, informing changes to service delivery that promote an excellent customer experience, with a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partnering with the HR community to ensure transactional and advisory services deliver high-quality, compliant service aligned to business needs.
  • Effectively monitoring service performance through agreed service level agreements and highlighting areas of concern, using short, medium, and long-term plans to ensure solutions are in place if needed.

  • CIPD membership and qualification or time served in HR.
  • Proven experience of HR Shared Services management, ideally within a large business.
  • Experience of transactional HR and advisory activities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of employment legislation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR and case management systems.
  • Robust organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
