Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at a dynamic and growing engineering company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical assembly, disassembly, and testing on a range of bespoke technical machinery.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be working within a mixed engineering team, reporting to the Production Manager. Your primary duties will include building structural components from engineering drawings, working at our HQ in Cheshire, and supporting some of the installs on customer sites as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to build structural components
  • Perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, and testing on bespoke technical machinery
  • Support installs on customer sites as required
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality in your work
Requirements
  • Full-time served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
  • Competent to read engineering drawings
  • Experience with mechanical assembly/fitting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Proven bench work experience and own tools
  • Pneumatics experience beneficial
  • Team player mentality and strong work ethic
