About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse to join our team at HMP Elmley, as part of the Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging and dynamic environment, providing high-quality healthcare services to offenders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients in a secure environment
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to ensure effective service delivery
  • Develop and implement healthcare policies and procedures to promote best practice
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of healthcare strategies to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years' experience at Band 5
  • Working knowledge of current issues and agendas facing prison and offender healthcare
  • Experience of setting, monitoring, and evaluating standards of care
