Job Title: Senior Planner - Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding advice on a wide range of development projects and planning issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-rate support to more senior members of the team on major, complex projects.
  • Manage, with supervision and support as required, a broad mix of planning instructions requiring diligent and timely research and analysis.
  • Provide advice on the planning potential of land and property, and assist in the formulation of development proposals that meet client requirements.
  • Assess and weigh the opportunities and risks presented by the planning system, and provide advice on strategies and programmes for managing local plan and planning application processes.
  • Prepare and submit applications for planning permission, and represent the client in negotiations with local planning authorities.
Requirements:
  • Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Inquisitorial and a problem solver, with excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good verbal communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, and a good writer.
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic, with experience in both development management and development plan processes.
