Job Title: Senior Construction Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Construction Supervisor to join our UK Power Networks contract in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience in overseeing the coordination and supervision of construction activities from commencement to final completion.

The role will involve day-to-day management of site operatives, subcontractors, and site work, as well as development and implementation of safety documentation, including Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments. You will also be responsible for identifying training requirements for site personnel, client liaison, procurement of materials, and notification of possible variations.

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery of projects
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to achieve project objectives
  • Monitor and control project costs, schedules, and resources

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in construction management, preferably in the electricity industry
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and risk management principles
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude for working with MS Office and other software applications
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and UK power network standards
