Territory Business Development Manager, Startup

Amazon Web Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Business Development Manager to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team, you will be responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology-related business development, with a proven track record of success in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for establishing Amazon Web Services as the key cloud technology provider across the companies you manage, promoting the entire AWS products and services portfolio to Startups Customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Identifying key aspects of potential new opportunities and progressing them to launch
  2. Developing long-term strategic relationships with responsible accounts
  3. Developing and executing against a comprehensive account/territory plan, including outbound calling against established target lists
  4. Creating and articulating compelling value propositions around AWS services and developing AWS use case studies
  5. Engaging with AWS partners and Solutions Architects to develop business development strategies, extend reach, and drive joint success
  6. Possessing the technical ability to explain cloud computing, infrastructure solutions, and management tools
  7. Forecasting territory performance per month against quota, cost-optimizing customers, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline and related territory target lists
  8. Exceeding set business objectives and ensuring customer satisfaction

As a Territory Business Development Manager, you will be at the heart of the latest trends in cloud computing, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, serverless, and IoT. You will help your customers leverage state-of-the-art technologies on AWS to innovate and become the next disruptors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Prior experience working for or selling to technology startups
  2. Ability to learn, be curious, and act independently within a fast-paced multi-task driven environment
  3. Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computer trends
  4. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills via the phone, email, video, and presentations
