Financial Controller Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our client, a leading independent firm of estate agents in South Bucks. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing financial planning and analysis capabilities to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain financial planning and analysis capabilities to track and report on financial performance
  • Produce annual financial statements and accounts, ensuring compliance with best financial practices and a clean audit report
  • Manage profit and loss, including dealing with VAT returns and producing consolidated monthly management accounts
  • Maintain weekly accounts payable and accounts receivable, cash, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts, and assist with payroll processes and HMRC queries
  • Continuously improve and maintain end-to-end financial processes, with a focus on lettings accounts and tenant payment details
Requirements:
  • Strong Excel skills for data manipulation, reports, graphs/charts, and business cases
  • Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
  • Excellent presentation skills and a desire to learn and grow within the company
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
