Job Title: D3 Doctor - Primary Healthcare Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our team as a D3 Doctor - Primary Healthcare Specialist. As a locum GP, you will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services to military personnel and their families at various military locations throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake primary healthcare clinics for military personnel and their families.
  • Conduct examinations and occupational health fitness for work assessments within your scope of experience and qualification.
  • Inform the local medical authority of any cases that may affect a serviceperson's ability to undertake their duties.
  • Complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.
  • Attend individual management reviews or case conferences with Primary Healthcare and/or line management as required.
Standards and Requirements
  • Comply with relevant Contracting Authority policy as notified to the doctor.
  • Comply with regulatory standards set out by the General Medical Council's (GMC) Good Medical Practice (GMP) document.
  • Comply with Joint Service Publication (JSP) 950 Medical Policy.
Essential Requirements
  • Registration with the General Medical Council both on the main register and on the General Medical Council (GMC) GP Register without Restrictions.
  • Current, satisfactory in-date annual appraisal in line with the requirements of the General Medical Council's (GMC's) Good Medical Practice (GMP).
  • In-date and able to provide certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training.
Desirable Requirements
  • Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) experience.
  • Previous emergency care/response experience.
  • Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and/or Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and/or Diploma Occupational Medicine (DipOM).
