Job Title: Senior Building Surveyor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a full suite of Building Surveying services to our clients. You will work in a multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating with colleagues to deliver projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide a range of building surveying and project management duties across multiple projects.
- Assist in the development of new and repeat business across all sectors.
- Manage client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
- Support senior managers in the day-to-day running of the business, including project management and contract administration duties for larger projects.
- Design and implement small to medium-sized projects, including condition and measured surveys.
- Undertake due diligence surveys and use standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
- Keep up-to-date with industry issues and developments in best practice.
- Manage teams and deliver commissions under framework agreements.
- Experience in sectors including education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure projects.
- Defect analysis, building surveys, and producing professional reports and specifications.
- Understand the principles of quality, safety, and the environment within project management.
- Deliver pre- and post-contract project management services.
Requirements:
- BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Full member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Good all-round surveying experience.
- Experience of pre- and post-contract project management responsibilities.
- Good team working skills and ability to communicate well at all levels.
- Prepared to travel as required.
- Liaise with senior colleagues to build a profitable service and positive team environment.
- Experience of AutoCAD and Revit an advantage.
- Awareness of BIM systems.
- Mentoring of APC graduates.
- Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
