Job Title: Assistant Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Nurse Practitioner in our disability services department.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with people with disabilities, promoting independence and inclusion in society. As an Assistant Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering quality customer nursing and support services in line with our Clinical Governance Framework and Northcott Values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality nursing and support services to individuals with disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve individual goals and promote independence
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to individuals, families, and carers
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of services
Requirements:
  • Diploma of Nursing or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • Registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Registration with the medication notation is highly preferred, or willingness to complete a Board-approved qualification in administering medicines within 12 months of commencement
  • NSW Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain
  • Driver's Licence
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the NSW Disability Standards
  • Knowledge of WHS principles, including safe manual handling procedures
