About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior App Developer to join our team at Vets for Pets. As a key member of our Application Development Team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing Android applications that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular code reviews to identify areas of technical debt and implement corrective measures to improve the quality of our applications.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior and mid-level developers, helping them to overcome complex technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and develop application solutions to business problems, focusing on larger and more complex development projects.
  • Produce high-quality design documentation and efficient software implementations that meet our technical standards.
  • Identify opportunities to create reusable components and services that can be leveraged across multiple applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Android development and contribute to the development of our technology roadmap.
About Your Experience

We are looking for a strong technical communicator who can effectively articulate solutions and desired outcomes. You should be results-driven, organized, forward-thinking, and adaptable to change, with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Experience Required
  • Deep understanding of Android software development, including the ecosystem and technologies in use.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
  • Experience with development frameworks, patterns, and practices for Android software development.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
  • Customer-focused approach with a strong outcome orientation.
