Ackerman Pierce Ltd is a leading provider of educational support services. We are currently seeking an experienced Maths and English Outreach Tutor to join our team.

Job Overview

We work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one-to-one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. Our clients have complex needs, requiring experienced professionals like yourself.

This role involves providing face-to-face provision to SEND students in Rayleigh. You will be working with students who require alternative education arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver maths and english tuition to students with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with schools and local authorities to meet the needs of students
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Background teaching in English, Maths, or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5
  • QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
  • At least 2 years of previous experience working within a UK school
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a salary range of £25 - £33 per hour, paid on a temporary contract basis. Tuition takes place between 08:30 am and 04:30 pm. We offer a unique experience within recruitment, including a personal consultant available 16 hours a day, a DBS fully paid for by Ackerman Pierce Ltd, and a Compliance service with a quick and easy registration process.

In order to apply for this position, you must be available during school hours up to 30 hours per week. Additionally, you should be prepared to work face-to-face within the community. Experience in teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs is essential.
