About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at ARO. As a key member of our Technical team, you will be responsible for leading network projects from start to completion, mentoring team members, and providing technical guidance to project managers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT networking project/support roles, deploying large network projects, and working with stakeholders. You will also be responsible for delivering customer workshops, training sessions, and ensuring the accuracy of network designs and solutions.

This is a client-facing role that requires nationwide travel, and you will need to be able to visit our Cardiff office regularly. A full UK driving license and access to your own car for business use are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead network projects from start to completion
  • Mentor team members and provide technical guidance
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure successful project delivery
  • Deliver customer workshops and training sessions
  • Ensure the accuracy of network designs and solutions
  • Travel nationwide to customer sites and work outside of normal working hours as required
Requirements
  • Experience in IT networking project/support roles
  • Experience deploying large network projects
  • Strong experience with stakeholder engagement
  • Experience delivering customer workshops and training sessions
  • Full UK driving license and access to own car for business use
  • Project implementations/project lifecycle experience
  • MSP/Reseller experience as project engineer/consultant
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Windows Server, Virtualisation, and Storage technologies
  • Aruba/Extreme Certifications
  • SonicWALL - Firewall
  • Fortinet – Firewall/SD-WAN
  • Wireless Surveying
  • Experience with AAA & Radius, Windows NPS/ClearPass/Cisco ISE
