About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at a Residential Home for Young People with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional care and support to young people with EBD in a Residential Unit in East London.
  • Create a safe, warm, and stable environment that encourages young people to develop, mature, and grow.
  • Work collaboratively with young people, their families, residential workers, and other relevant professionals to ensure individual support according to their needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and encourage young people to take responsibility for their actions.
  • Ensure the measures of control used within the home fall within service policies and practice, enabling young people to gradually take more responsibility for their own behaviour.
  • Support and encourage young people to participate in a range of socially valued activities and interests within the community.
  • Provide opportunities for young people to develop social and practical living skills, enabling them to make a smooth transition into adulthood.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in children's residential care and a willingness to attend relevant training, including QCF Level 3 Children and Young People.
  • Leadership, supervisory, or business management certification is beneficial.
