About the Role
The Internal Audit Director will be responsible for managing internal audits for a wide range of clients, including social housing, education, charity, and private sectors. This role will involve:
- Client Portfolio Management: Liaising directly with clients and reporting to the partner
- Technical Guidance: Reviewing audit assignments and providing guidance to clients as necessary
- Internal Audit Supervision: Supervising and guiding internal audit assignments as necessary
- Financial Management: Actively managing fees and WIP
- Team Management: Managing, coaching, and training internal audit staff
- Department Development: Aiding the development of the department, including production of tender documents, development of new clients, growth of the client base, primarily in the owner-managed sector, and other relevant business development tasks
- Administration: Share in the management of the department administration
- Other Tasks: Any other appropriate tasks, as directed
Reporting Structure
The Internal Audit Director will report to the Leadership team.
About You
Successful candidates must be able to work within a professional office environment across our client base. You must hold appropriate professional qualifications (or be qualified by experience) and must have significant audit experience. You will play a key role in the management of a client portfolio and the development and growth of the department and will be expected to offer creative ideas and solutions regularly.
- Audit Knowledge: Awareness of Internal Audit standards
- Communication Skills: Confident and professional communicator
- Industry Experience: Further education sector internal audit experience
- Business Development: Ability to become involved in business development activities
- Technical Skills: Experience with computerized internal audit software
