Transport Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our team at Grundon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of our waste collection services at our Colnbrook depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise an experienced transport office team and around 70 drivers to ensure that customers receive their waste collection service when they expect it.
- Connect with the transport team and customers to establish a strong working relationship and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Help to manage the depot's operations, including supervising the transport office team and drivers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- At least two years' supervisory or managerial experience, preferably in the waste industry.
- Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and full clean UK driving licence, ideally with LGV Class 2 (cat C) entitlement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Proficient in computer skills, including cost-control software.
