Financial Controller Assistant

Ignata Finance is working with a dynamic business in Sutton to recruit a Management Accountant. This is a fantastic role where you will have the chance to support the Finance Controller in producing the management accounts. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the effective running of the ledger function, preparing monthly management accounts, performing monthly reconciliations, and providing general support to other roles within the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce budgets, forecasts, and cash reports in a timely manner, highlighting any adverse cash movements.
- Act as a key business partner to the wider business, providing commercial and insightful analysis to inform decision-making.
- Responsible for the production of P&L and balance sheet reports.
- Administer inter-company reconciliations and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Accrue, prepay, and journal entries, as well as KPI analysis.
This is a challenging role that requires a highly commercial individual who can quickly develop a strong understanding of the business to identify new opportunities and margin improvement opportunities. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, and will have the ability to create commercial and insightful analysis using examples to inform decision-making.
