Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team at ITDev. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality embedded systems solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation: Assist with the generation of engineering estimates at the system level for quotations.
  • Product Backlog Creation and Maintenance: Develop and manage product backlogs to ensure effective project planning and execution.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed systems based on factors such as cost and performance.
  • Requirements Management: Capture, analyze, and manage system requirements to ensure they are well-defined, verifiable, and traceable throughout the development process.
  • System Architecture Design: Create and refine system architectures to meet functional and non-functional requirements while considering constraints like performance, cost, and size.
  • Interface Management: Ensure seamless interaction between subsystems and external systems by managing interfaces, guaranteeing interoperability, and required performance.
  • Integration, Verification, and Validation: Develop IV&V plans and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality integrated solutions.
Requirements
  • Embedded Programming Experience: A minimum requirement is having hands-on experience in embedded programming.
  • Significant Embedded System Development Experience: We seek candidates with substantial experience in developing complex embedded systems.
  • Revision Control Systems: Proficiency in using Revision Control Systems (Git or Subversion) is essential.
  • Adaptability and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, adapting to new challenges and technologies.
  • Quality Focus and Attention to Detail: Strong emphasis on delivering high-quality work with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration with colleagues and customers.
  • Quick Learning Ability: Capacity to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and apply them effectively in live applications.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience. This figure may vary based on individual qualifications and industry standards.
